Ivan Ortola secured second place in Great Britain and staged a solid comeback to finish fifth in Spain, while Angel Piqueras continued to show steady signs of improvement during the August races.
After a three-week summer break, the MSi Racing Team returned to the Silverstone track for the British Grand Prix with great determination. Buoyed by his success in Germany before the break, Ivan Ortolá demonstrated his exceptional form from the very beginning: after securing a front-row start on Saturday with the third-fastest qualifying time, the Spaniard was once again among the top performers on Sunday, achieving an impressive second-place finish in the race and earning valuable points for the overall standings. Meanwhile, Angel Piqueras’ recovery continues at a steady pace. After a difficult Saturday which saw him start from 25th place, he staged a strong comeback to finish in 17th place, racking up valuable kilometres to help him regain his best form.
At the next race at MotorLand Aragon, the MSi Racing Team demonstrated even greater consistency on the track. Angel Piqueras had started the weekend strongly, securing a spot on the third row with the eighth-fastest time in qualifying. Unfortunately, the Spaniard’s Sunday ended in retirement, preventing him from building on his strong performance. Ivan Ortolá took the reins, keeping the team’s colours flying high. Starting from 15th place, the rider staged an impressive comeback, climbing all the way up to fifth place by the finish. This consistent performance is crucial ahead of the next round, which is scheduled for 11–13 September in Misano Adriatico for the Grand Prix of San Marino and Rimini Riviera.
