The Spanish driver enjoyed a perfect weekend, securing a historic pole position and a masterful victory in a race that he led from start to finish. Piqueras demonstrated consistency and progress by finishing in the points, ending the first half of the season on a positive note.
The German Grand Prix weekend was a memorable chapter in the Moto2 season for the MSi Racing Team. At the Sachsenring circuit, the team was able to capitalise fully on the extensive development work carried out so far, bringing the first half of the championship to a close in the best possible way thanks to the outstanding performances of its riders and technical staff.
The star of the German weekend was undoubtedly Ivan Ortolá, who delivered a dominant performance from start to finish. The Spanish rider secured his first Moto2 pole position with a record-setting time of 1:21.493. On Sunday, Ortolá completed his triumph with a masterful race: after a perfect start from pole position, he took the lead on the first lap and maintained it until the end, managing the pressure from his pursuers in the closing stages calmly and celebrating a well-deserved victory.
There were also excellent signs of progress and great determination from Angel Piqueras on the other side of the garage. Despite a challenging qualifying session that forced him to start in twenty-third position, he delivered a solid and consistent performance, showcasing his comeback skills and demonstrating his ability to manage tyres effectively, ultimately crossing the finish line in fourteenth place. This result also confirmed his steady physical recovery.
Now that this intense race series is over, the MSi Racing Team is taking a well-deserved summer break. They will return to the Silverstone track for the British Grand Prix on 7–9 August, ready to pick up where they left off with the same momentum and determination.
