The Spanish Grand Prix weekend at the Jerez circuit concluded with the QJMOTOR – GALFER – MSI team gaining valuable data. Despite the changeable weather and extremely tight starting grid, the team overcame initial difficulties to deliver a solid performance in the race.
After qualifying, during which some technical issues were highlighted, the team worked to provide Ivan Ortolá with a competitive bike for Sunday. The Spanish rider finished tenth, having fought his way up from fifteenth on the grid. The most significant aspect of Ortolá’s weekend was his renewed feeling in the bike, which will allow him to approach the next Grand Prix with greater confidence.
Marcos Ramírez had a challenging weekend due to Saturday’s rain, which limited the number of available laps and prevented him from reaching Q2. Ramírez had a solid race and finished in sixteenth place. His performance was characterized by a race pace comparable to the top 10 riders, demonstrating his ability to quickly adapt to the bike.
The next round is scheduled for the French GP in Le Mans from May 8-11, where the team will aim to build on the progress made in Spain to secure a top-10 position.
