The last two race weekends of the World Championship were hosted by Portimao and Valencia. Team Italjet Gresini Moto2 fielded Sergio Garcia and Albert Arenas, with the latter competing in his final races with the team.

Moto2 | Portuguese GP November 7/9

The Team Italjet Gresini Moto2 season finale began in Portugal, with Sergio Garcia joining Arenas to replace Binder, who was undergoing surgery on his ulna. Following a promising start on Friday, the track conditions at Portimão gradually deteriorated, making qualifying more challenging for both riders. Albert Arenas managed to climb up to eighth place in the race, having started from sixteenth on the grid. Garcia’s debut was more challenging, as he was forced to race with his airbag deployed following contact with another rider. Nevertheless, the young Spaniard managed to finish the race, gaining four positions.
