The back-to-back races in Germany and the Czech Republic marked the end of the first part of the Moto2 season. Despite their hard work, the Italian team achieved less than they deserved.

July was a busy month for the World Championship, with two back-to-back race weekends. Team Italjet Gresini Moto2 first competed at the Sachsenring. On the German track, the team began working on setups and the riders started to familiarise with the circuit. On Saturday, both riders made it through Q1:Binder finished in 21st position, while Arenas secured an impressive second row with a time of 1’34.830. However, the Spaniard’s hopes of a podium finish were dashed when another rider crashed into him. Binder finished fifteenth, satisfied with the progress made after a series of less than positive weekends.

After Germany, the Italjet Gresini Moto2 Team moved on to the much-loved track in Brno, Czech Republic, which had been missing from the calendar for many years. Rain ruined Friday’s plans, with both riders forced to go through Q1 again. Arenas and Binder then qualified in seventeenth and twenty-fourth position due to cancelled laps and traffic on the track. Nevertheless, both riders were happy with their pace. Despite their good pace, the two had to work hard to improve their position, with Arenas finishing tenth and Binder seventeenth. A day of testing on Monday brought the trip to Brno to a close, ahead of the summer break which will last until the Austrian Grand Prix scheduled for 15–17August.
