Darryn Binder missed both GPs this month due to a crash in France. May challenges Arenas, who continues to improve.

The ITALJET GRESINI Moto2 team travelled to Le Mans for the Grand Prix of France at the Circuit Bugatti.

It was a weekend that ended too early for Darryn Binder, who suffered a fracture to his left ulna in a crash during Free Practice 1 and was subsequently ruled out of the rest of the event. The GP went much better for Albert Arenas, who took fourth place in qualifying, just 6 thousandths off the front row. He fought for the podium until the last laps of the race and then crossed the finish line in sixth place, making for another solid weekend.

The Faenza-based team arrived at Silverstone with a smaller squad, as Darryn Binder was still recovering from arm surgery but making steady progress.

Albert Arenas was the only rider on the track defending the colours of ITALJET GRESINI Moto2. Qualifying did not go according to his expectations, partly due to the track not being completely dry during the session. The Spaniard started fromeleventh on the grid and had a challenging race, ultimately finishing twelfth. Despite this, he was able to optimise a difficult weekend and secure valuable points in the World Championship.

The next race is the Grand Prix of Aragon, his home race, scheduled for 6–8 June.
